Response to Intervention: Intervention Bank
The RtI Intervention Bank was created by Reading Specialists, English as Second Lanuage Teachers, and classroom teachers of the Hewlett-Woodmere Public Schools to assist educators in the search for additional resources as they implement the District's RtI Plan. This bank addresses the "Big Five" components of English Language Arts: phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, comprehension, and fluency.
These lessons have been aligned with Common Core Learning Standards (CCLS) utilizing research-based instruction or strategies. They afford teachers multiple opportunities to use differentiated instruction to meet the needs of individual students or groups. This will support teachers in providing supplemental small-group instruction.
This bank is a preliminary resource that will be expanded and changed to accomodate the needs of our student community of learners.
